I was approached by a dear friend to create bunting for her daughters nursery room and for a special photo shoot. I created the requested bunting and decided, while I was cutting out pennants, why not make a few more.
I wanted it to be a bit different than the ones I had seen so instead of using a solid pattern bias, I patched together various fabrics and created the bias tape. I did have a little help though. I purchased the Simplicity Bias Tape Maker a while back so I knew the task would not be as daunting as imagined.
Knowing the bias tape would be useful and handy for future projects, I kinda over did it and make enough to go around a football field (Ok, a little exaggeration but that’s how long it seemed which I was making it!)
And here is the final product! Fifteen feet of pennant bunting, perfect for a one of a kind nursery, wedding or party!
I have a few sets listed in my Etsy boutique but if you want to make one yourself, contact me and I’d be more than happy to show you how.
Hope you have a fabulous weekend and if you are reading this in Canada, have a wonderful Canada Day weekend!
