I didn’t have a goal or agenda regarding how many quilts to create in 2014 but as it turns out, I created nineteen quilts. I may have missed a few custom order quilts which left my home before I had the opportunity to take a pic but nineteen quilts is still a good haul.
I am currently on a mission to use only fabrics I currently own, otherwise known as the stash, to create more quilts. I began the year by creating a triangle quilt using the Jaybird Quilts ‘Super Side Kick’ Ruler. I purchased the Kaffe Fassett Shot Cottons a few years ago with intentions of making a quilt for dear hubby but I forgot which pattern I purchased the fabric for. Maybe I should start labeling the fabrics with a note reminding me for which pattern I purchase fabrics for 🙂
With the help of the awesome Super Side Kick Ruler, this collection of shot cottons turned into this quilt.
As I kept adding rows and columns, the quilt is now an oversized twin size quilt. I definitely will not attempt to quilt this one myself so once I find the backing, it’s off to the quilters.
Hoping your year is great so far and remains that way for the rest of the year!
Thanks for stopping by!
