I’m not very sentimental about events such as the start of a new year. Since having children, we haven’t created any new year traditions and I am typically in bed by 10:00 pm on the eve of the new year. Judging by pictures and a bit of memory, I seemed to have really enjoyed past new year celebrations though. All before kids.
Reflecting upon 2015, it was an awesome year as I was fortunate to see my family on from the west coast twice in one year! Woot! We also had a visit from family from the east coast. Win win!
If I did anything different in 2015 which I wish to carry forward to 2016 is the ability to not stress if I haven’t finished something I set out to do. Last year was the first year I easily walked away from something I was working on and didn’t have any regret. I would get back to it whenever I did. I spent more time hanging with the kidlets and hubby instead of spending every spare minute in the studio. I still love creating just as much as ever but just realized the project will be there when I return.
So on that note, I will always be creating and adding ‘new’ to my shop but there may be huge gaps of time passing between posting. Or there may be a run off of new for a series of weeks and then nothing for a long time. That’s all ok too. The goal is to end the day smiling and wake up smiling and this agenda works for me 🙂
Wishing you all a year filled with joy, good health and a reason to smile every single day.
